Description

We collaborated with Mahindra, one of India’s leading automakers, to create an immersive VR factory tour. The project was designed to bring corporate offices closer to manufacturing plants and raise awareness of Mahindra’s advanced manufacturing practices and safety standards. The VR experience aimed to educate employees, align departments, and showcase Mahindra’s excellence to internal teams across corporate and retail functions while addressing the challenges of organizing physical facility tours.

Challenge

  • Tedious and Expensive Facility Tours: Organizing physical factory visits for corporate, retail, and sales teams was both time-consuming and costly, limiting access to Mahindra’s manufacturing excellence.
  • Raising Awareness of Manufacturing Excellence: There was a need to effectively demonstrate Mahindra’s world-class manufacturing processes, quality standards, and safety protocols to employees and other internal stakeholders.
  • Personalized Learning for Diverse Departments: The solution needed to cater to different departments and functions by offering customized modules aligned to their specific learning objectives.
  • Scalable Training and Engagement: The tool had to be accessible across multiple platforms, accommodating both group sessions and individual use.

Solution

We designed a dynamic VR factory tour that addressed these challenges while delivering an engaging and scalable experience:

  1. Immersive VR Experience: Developed a highly engaging virtual tour of Mahindra’s manufacturing facilities, providing a lifelike view of their advanced processes, quality standards, and safety protocols. Enabled users to experience the factory environment as if they were physically present, reducing the need for costly and time-consuming physical tours.
  2. Custom Personalisation by Function: Designed role-specific modules tailored to the needs of different departments, such as corporate, sales, and retail functions. Sales-focused modules emphasised how manufacturing practices contribute to customer value, while corporate teams accessed content aligned with strategic and operational insights.
  3. Cross-Platform Solution: Developed the VR tour to be compatible with web, mobile, and VR devices, ensuring flexibility and accessibility for a wide range of use cases, including individual exploration or group sessions.
